Spring is here! And nothing says spring better than NVIS Antenna Day! It is a chance to get out of the shack you have been cooped up in all winter and set up a field station! This is the second year that we have set up down in St. Bernard. The spot chosen is excellent for NVIS operation!
Come join us…
Date: April 22, 2017
Time: 12 Noon
Lunch: Provided at 2 PM
Place: St. Bernard Aquatic Center – Parking Entrance off of Washington Ave.
Bring your radio and your home built NVIS antenna and try it out! Electric power is available under the shelter along with public bathrooms.
Ohio’s NVIS antenna day is scheduled for April 22. In addition to 40 and 80 meters, we want to add 160 and 60 meters (a good 160 antenna should also operate on 60). With the band conditions in the trash, we need to work up alternative bands and plans to maintain communications across the state! These new bands should make for some interesting antenna construction projects, so get your teams busy!!
