Eric, N8YC our Field Day Committee head announced some great news ! The results are in and OHKYIN had some amazing Field Day results.
- Total Score: 7,956 Total QSOs: 2,271
- In the category 3A in the Ohio Section: 1 out of 21!
- In the category 3A in the Great Lakes Division: 2 out of 41! (by only 169 QSOs)
- In the category 3A for Field Day overall: 20 out of 321!
- All categories in the Ohio Section: 7 out of 142!
- All categories in the Great Lakes Division: 8 out of 272!
And the real kicker! ALL categories for Field Day overall. Out of 2964 Field Day events this year, we ranked #87!!!!!
That’s right. We made the top 100. That’s higher than 97% of all events!

“As we packed up this year’s event, quite a few of us were confident that we made a significant competitive impact. This is due to our club emphasizing CW and Digital as a priority. Our club promotes the skills with ALL technologies. We are blessed to have very good CW operators who want to keep the skill alive where we also have those who run with the newest modes. This on top of the great work from our SSB, GOTA and VHF/UHF teams, we got the job done! “
